We Believe
At Apostolic Life Tabernacle, our faith is built on the Word of God and lived out in everyday life. Below are the core beliefs that guide our church family, with simple explanations of what they mean for us today.
The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, written by holy men as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. It is the final authority for salvation, faith, and Christian living. This means we look to the Bible for guidance in every part of life and encourage personal Bible reading and study.
One God
We believe there is only one true and living God. He is the Creator of all things and has revealed Himself as Father in creation, Son in redemption, and Holy Spirit in regeneration. This means we worship one God who works in every part of our lives — giving life, providing salvation through Jesus Christ, and dwelling in us by His Spirit.
Salvation
We believe salvation comes by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. According to Acts 2:38, this includes repentance, baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. This means we help people experience new life through repentance, water baptism, and Spirit-filled living.
Baptism
We believe in baptism by immersion in water in the name of Jesus Christ. It is a vital step of obedience and identifies us with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. This means when someone is baptized at ALT, it is both a spiritual act of cleansing and a public testimony of faith.
Holy Spirit
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, with the initial sign of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives utterance. This empowers believers to live holy lives and serve others. This means we encourage people to seek the Spirit’s fullness and live in daily fellowship with God.
Holiness
We believe God calls us to live a holy life inwardly and outwardly, separated from sin and dedicated to Him. Holiness is a reflection of God’s nature in our lives. This means we strive to live with integrity, purity, and love, showing Christ in how we act, speak, and treat others.
The Church
We believe the church is the body of Christ, made up of Spirit-filled believers. It is God’s plan for fellowship, teaching, worship, and mission. This means we gather not only to worship, but also to encourage one another, learn together, and serve our community.
The Coming of the Lord
We believe Jesus Christ will return again to receive His church and judge the world. Our hope is eternal life with Him. This means we live with purpose and urgency, keeping our eyes on Christ and our hearts ready for His return.
Why This Matters
Our beliefs aren’t just words on a page — they shape how we worship, how we serve, and how we love our city. At Apostolic Life Tabernacle, faith is more than doctrine; it’s a life that points people to Jesus Christ.
