Stir Up Your Pure Minds
Peter wrote, “This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance” (2 Peter 3:1, KJV). That phrase is powerful because Peter was not trying to entertain the church. He was trying to wake them up.
The phrase stir up your pure minds means to awaken, arouse, or shake the mind back into spiritual attention. Peter was writing to believers who already knew truth, but still needed to be reminded.
